Application Steps
1. Gather Documents

6. Submit Application & Track
Submit electronically. Monitor account for update requests (Procedural Fairness Letter, ADR) and respond promptly.
7. Passport Request & Visa Issuance
If approved, receive Passport Request (PPR). Submit passport via VFS. Receive visa foil and Port of Entry Letter (for study/work permits).

All fees are payable in Canadian dollars at the time of online submission. VFS Global collects service charges for biometrics and passport transmission. Medical exams and translations are paid directly to providers.

Do I need a visa or eTA to enter Canada?
Moroccan citizens require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) for short visits. An eTA is only available to passport holders from visa-exempt countries.
What is the Student Direct Stream (SDS)?
SDS is a faster study permit programme requiring IELTS 6.0 in each band, CAD 20,635 Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC), first-year tuition paid, and medical/bio completed upfront.
How long can I stay with a visitor visa?
Generally up to six months per entry. The officer may stamp or note a different duration in your passport.
Can my spouse work in Canada while I study?
Yes. Eligible spouses/common-law partners of full-time students at DLIs may apply for an open work permit valid for the same duration as the study permit.
Do I need to pay tuition before applying for the study permit?
