Overview

All Irish visa applications from Morocco are processed by Immigration Service Delivery (ISD). Applicants complete the AVATS online form, print the summary, and submit documents through VFS Global (Casablanca or Rabat). Approval is issued by the Irish Embassy in Madrid.

Students and workers also need to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) / Immigration Service Delivery within 90 days of arrival to receive an Irish Residence Permit (IRP).

Ireland Visa Types

Long-Stay Study Visa (D)

Required for academic programmes longer than 90 days. Leads to Stamp 2 registration upon arrival with work rights for students.

Employment Permits & Work Visas

Critical Skills, General Work Permits, intra-company transfer, and Stamp 1G Graduate Programme. Requires Department of Enterprise employment permit before visa.

Short-Stay Visit Visa (C)

For tourism, business visits, or short courses under 90 days. No automatic right to work.

Family Reunification & Join Family

For spouses, partners, and dependants of Irish residents. Requires sponsor eligibility and proof of relationship.

Application Steps

  1. 1. Submit AVATS Online Application

    Visit avats.gov.ie, fill in the electronic form, record your transaction number, and print the summary.
